    Recommend me a graphics card

I ordered a xfx 8800gts 512mb from microdirect last week, only to find out that it's out of stock now
So now i'm thinking that maybe the gts is a bit much for what i'm needing, maybe a gt would do? or maybe i could get a 8800gtx as they seem to be dropping in price a bit now.
I'm using a 22" monitor and usually game at 1680x1050. And i'll have about £170 max to spend if i get a refund but could maybe push up a bit if i get convinced

    That's pretty much it
    fire away guys

Re: Recommend me a graphics card

There isn't much of a difference between the GT or the GTS, the latter has extra stream processors and a few other detailed changes. You won't notice any real gaming differences at the resolution you intend to run.

    How about this Asus

    or the Gigabyte

Both are in the same price bracket, the only real difference being in the heatsinks. The GTS exhausts the air, while the GT has the 3rd party zalman cooler.

you could get a bfg 8800GTS for ~ £162, much better investment then xfx cards as all i hear is their rma is dire and you get 10years with bfg anyways.
