    Digimate L2442WD PVA

    Hi,

I've been looking into getting a 24" monitor for my PC and I've come across the Digimate L2442WD.

    It's on eBuyer for ~£200.

Seems too good to be true for a PVA panel...

People have been saying they use the BenQ/other good panels used in the more expensive 24" PVA panel screens.

Anybody had any experience with them, is it worth buying?

    Craig.

    Re: Digimate L2442WD PVA

I have this screen. I'll double check the model number in couple hours when i get home to be sure though.
It's good screen. youcan see some ghosting while scrolling black text on whuite background. Games and FullHD movies look great though

Misco has similar screen which also supports HDCP so you can hook up BD/HDHVD or PS3 to it
    Digimate does not have HDCP

    *EDIT*

    I have L2442W

    Re: Digimate L2442WD PVA

the digimate l2442wd is the same monitor as the ocuk value monitor thats been selling quite well. have a friend with that monitor and he said its a steal. the misco one looks almost identical to the l2442wd, but its made by yuraku not digimate. apart from that the only other difference is the hdcp support. i recommended my flatmate to get the yuraku, and for the money i don't see a better option in terms of value. the hdcp would be the deal clincher for me, as they're both around the same price. also aria have got the yuraky on sale, and they sometimes have it on their spuerspecial deals.

As above, the Yuraku always has the PVA panel and HDCP (I believe !).....Misco often has it for a steal too

Ah I see, so it's basically the same screen panel but with HDCP?

A review on the misco site says it doesn't have HDCP?
    So the yuraku is best?

    Re: Digimate L2442WD PVA

read the reviews on misco. didn't see any comments on it not having hdcp, although one person mentioned no hdmi. it should have hdcp over dvi since its been advertised as supporting hdcp on aria.

for the money i doubt you'll find a better monitor at 24"

    Re: Digimate L2442WD PVA

Looks like the OCUK one has a higher brightness and contrast ratio

    OCUK - 1000:1 and 500cd/m2.
    Misco - 800:1 and 300cd/m2.

So it's not just the HDCP difference.

I have the OCUK one and I don't have the need for HDCP. I must say it was worth the £222 I paid for it as 24" is lush and the image quality it is miles better than my 17" LG.

I think I'll go for the Yuraku on Misco: http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/...Tab=1&NoMapp=0

Is it guaranteed to be PVA?

    Thanks,
