    Best price on Dell 2007FP

Looking to purchase dual screens, and have narrowed it down to:

    - Dell 2007FP
    - HP LP2065

Both are 20" screens, 1600x1200 resolution on a 4:3 display, which is my preferred choice.

I would ideally like to get the Dell screens but the best price I can buy it for is £288 from PCBuyIt

However, the HP machine can be had for £235 taking account of the various discounts directly from HP

    A few questions:

    1) any other suitable 4:3 20" displays I should consider
    2) anyone know if the Dell 2007FP's can be bought cheaper elsewhere (new not seconds or refurbs)
    3) I need a dualhead graphics card capable of running two screens at 1600x1200 or higher. I'm not a gamer but would like a few recommendations as I know nothing about graphic cards

    Thanks

On the card needed, depends what you wish to use it for, now you've said you're not gameing, just wondering if you're planning to use any of the other programs that need a decent card.
for running a desktop and 90% of software (excluding games) 1600x1200x32bit x2 you'll need 256mb of video memory (actually might be 64mb) that's it almost any gpu will be fine and make no real difference.
it's the last 10% of software that causes troubles.
Just make sure you have twin heads of the same type, ie two dvi or two d-sub, you don't want to have each monitor feeding off a differnt type of output if you're trying to sync them up.

Display colour and brightness should generally be ok as long as both are from the same batch.

EDIT: don't know about cost but the viewsonic Pro series are good (sort of) the VP2130b is exellent.

I say sort of because avoid the older vp201b or vp201s, on paper these where great and were right up until they'd overheat and the power would die.
(our first lasted 3 months, replacement lasted 9months, was told that vp201 are now being replaced by vp2130, been over 2years now and the vp2130 is still going)
