This...
and this...
So I made the assumption the dude was still within his seven days, had tried to return and got fobbed off with the restocking fee line. Saw Webbys post and as many peeps here have taken the time to help me recently, thought I'd try and return the favour to someone else. What is the big deal??? If I horror of horrors got the wrong end of the stick, then just ignore me, how has this managed to upset Admin and why am I still clarifying it to random people hours after the fact, makes nooooooooooooo sense to moi.
Surley you can just get some sort of convertor, which will make it into a standard 3-pin plug withough messing the wires
failing that get one of these - http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?W...xtention+Cable and snip that up, so that you can plug the graphics fan into it

The Zalman fanmate is better because he wants to control the fan speed.
Hi,7 day cooling off period,is just to give you the same advantages of buying IN a High street shop.
http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/cons...page38102.html
Would have though, buy something from a highstreet shop, try it out or whatever(even unwrap it i bet ie it then can't be selt as new). You had better find it faulty, unfit for purpose(not your purpose)or whatever.
If you buy the wrong product, good luck, you might need some.
Theres one thing,Sale of Goods Acts, are not just there for the consumer.
You will also see alot, whats reasonably expected, reasonable person etc etc.
Theres some good retailers who show & give alot of goodwill, but they are businesses not your mother.
Cheers BOB
Hi folks, thanks for all the helpful replies.
In the email I got from the company it stated that any returns that are not under warranty (i.e. faulty) would incur a 30% "restocking fee". This company has already given me terrible service, where I paid £8 postage and they didn't send it out until 6 days after placing my order, their staff were rude and unprofessional and the tracking number they gave me wasn't recognised by the courier (Parcelforce). Also, the Sapphire seal on the box was broken, but they had their own seals on. Not sure what this means, the card looked clean and it has been running fine (except for the noise).
I figured that sending it back then arguing for a refund was a lot more effort than it was worth. I will simply never buy from them again. The company in question is "ComWales". Avoid!
I will look into changing the fan connector for the most cost effective solution. I don't wanna be spending money on a brand new card, I'm just too tight-fisted for that
Yeah I think your best option will be to see if you can get an adapter from the small fan plug to a standard 3 pin fan header. If you can not buy one then you must be able to get the parts to make one yourself although what the connector you would required is called I don't know. You could then attach it to a fan controller or the motherboard to control fan speed, better to not damage the fan cables themselves in case it needs to go back under warranty at some point.
After a quick bit of hunting I have found this, http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1945.html not sure it is exactly what you need but looks like it could well be.
Edit: No thinking about it that is backwards to what you want to achieve
Thanks Webby, but that's wrong adapter... It's a 2-pin to 3-pin. What I need it a small 3-pin to a standard sized 3-pin
