    Re: 4870 X2 overclocking..

in the 3008wfp thread someone said there's LCD screens being developed with LED backlighting instead of what the use at the moment too, so hopefully cut down on the no black issue if not the ghosting

But yeah I think I'll just quietly put some money aside for SED as well as looking into CRTs. Are there any good CRTs I wonder...

maybe try 4x AA or something like that?
then you'll easily get a very playable framerate.

He's not saying it's playable...he's saying that it's good to be able to get even 15fps at that resolution....

I just think all this trying to get crysis at full settings is a pointless exercise

I want to be able to get the PC up good enough to play it at full settings basically. I'm honestly not one of those dorks who rants on about how good their PC is, takes photos of it etc (reminds me of chavs and cars), I just want to get the damn thing sorted. If there was a way to get one instantly good enough, get the crap out of the way, i'd do it.

Heh, avoiding debt like the plague is much smarter less you never plan to pay it back (good luck with that! (second link PS I know it's written in bizarre, but the normal version of the page doesn't work - audio's in English - also it doesnt seem to work unless you have a referrer from Google for some weird reason, for example if you refresh the page or click a direct link to the vid))
