in the 3008wfp thread someone said there's LCD screens being developed with LED backlighting instead of what the use at the moment too, so hopefully cut down on the no black issue if not the ghosting

But yeah I think I'll just quietly put some money aside for SED as well as looking into CRTs. Are there any good CRTs I wonder...

2560 x 1600 with 16x AA @ 15fps is bloody good on Crysis!
maybe try 4x AA or something like that?
then you'll easily get a very playable framerate.

Well last I was reading about it, it was said to be out during CES 2007 I think but I never hear much about it

I wish they'd spring it into production, but the industry just wants to pan it out slowly with LCD's then move over so they get more money I bet

I want to be able to get the PC up good enough to play it at full settings basically. I'm honestly not one of those dorks who rants on about how good their PC is, takes photos of it etc (reminds me of chavs and cars), I just want to get the damn thing sorted. If there was a way to get one instantly good enough, get the crap out of the way, i'd do it.
