Triple monitor setup - 2nd gfx card

I've got a spare 15" LCD that i want to hook up to my pc. Currently i have 2x19" monitors connected to my 6600GT and my motherboard isn't SLI capable. Now my question is, are their any cheap PCI or PCI express X1 graphics cards out their compatible with my setup with Vista X64? Also, will this pose problems having differing graphics cards, such as with Visa's Aero interface?

    Thanks, Matt

Don't quote me on this one but I think you might need to go for SLi. How many PCI-e slots you got?

Re: Triple monitor setup - 2nd gfx card

I'm not aware of any PCI NVidia 6000 series graphics cards, so I'm afraid it might mean a trip to expensive-land for either a new PC or a Sapphire HD4850 X2 (supports up to 4 monitors natively). Although frankly you can buy a new PC for about the same cost as a 4850X2 if you don't plan on gaming!

What make / model is your motherboard?

My motherboard is an Abit IP35, no SLI. I think i'll have to give this a miss. I might run it off an older pc and use Synergy instead.

    Thanks anyway

You don't use SLI for multi monitor set ups. (You can, but that would mean an additional graphics card. So not what you want.)

Any graphics card that is supported under the same driver as your current card should work.
You might be able to get a PCI 6200 cheap off ebay.

More is always better, but is it going to be worth the price of the card to add another 15" screen?
