    HDMI Output?

    Hi guys,

I bought a graphics card from Ebay and it wasnt the exact model i ordered so trying to work out what kind of alternative they have sent me. I ordered a card specifically with HDMI output but the card that has come only has outputs marked VGA, S-Video and DVI. Are any of these HDMI? I was under the impression this should be like a fat USB port?

    Re: HDMI Output?

if the card supports hdmi it will be through the dvi port, a converter will be required if you want to use it with a hdmi port

    Re: HDMI Output?

HDTV out just means a HDCP compatable DVI port

    It's 4.98*

    Re: HDMI Output?

So is that crap compared to an actualHDMI slot as i am having to convert it?

Also, between the two cards posted above, which is better? The 512MB card or the 256 one?

no, the dvi slot on the card is electrically compatible with hdmi, it will be exactly the same, just changing the shape of the connector.

No, there is no difference, grab a DVI to HDMI converter - they are bundled with most HDCP graphics cards there days.
