    NX8800GT-T2D512E-OC heat problem

Hi, I have the following setup-

    Intel C2D e4500 2.2ghz
msi NX8800GT-T2D512E-OC custom white cooler from msi
    coolermaster 330 case
corsair 2x1gb 4-4-4-12 ram , timings changed to 5-5-5-15 for overclocking.
    ocz 600w psu
    msi p35 neo2-fr

My gpu idle temp, when checked with nvidia system monitor, is 64 degree celsius. yesterday, i cleaned my case and to clean the card I removed the cooler and cleaned it separately. I double checked whether I had put it on properly and it is fine IMO. I checked the bios and all the settings are on default as I had reset it with the red reset button on the mobo. Unfortunately, I cant figure out why my card is running so hot at idle. any help would be appreciated.

64 degrees is fine for the GPU temperature as i have the exact sam card and min idles normally between 62-64 degrees so its fine. When playing crysis or l4d it does reach high 90's but i assume the card can handle the factory overclocked speeds and those temperatures

A lot of GPUs run hot compared to CPUs - the reference-cooled 4850s ran about 80 degrees at idle! So unless your idle temperature has suddenly increased from a previous lower value, I wouldn't worry about it.
