seen on ebay, of course, but prefer to avoid that route. Found on ebuyer (GBP433) and Scan (442) so far.
also, any version to look for? I don't much about the diff versions that have been released.
TIA

Scan often have them on TodayOnly for £413.
I did see an open box special (still with 3 year Dell warranty) on eBuyer for £399 a couple of weeks ago. Should have just bit the bullet and bought that one
I get my Dell monitors from PCBuyIt due to the pixel warranty (0 dead for life of warranty). Only a bit cheaper once you factor in delivery but you will be guaranteed the A01 revision. It's the latest revision and the one you want.

I would prefer the H-IPS panel in the HP for any colour critical image editing over the S-PVA panel in the Dell though.
The HP certainally looks good.
Might have to see if I can unload the 2408 I already have and get two of the HPs. I would prefer a matching set
that HP monitor qualifies for 10% discount from the HP site, if you share it (eg facebook) etc.
total is 388.86 inc P&P..........
am VERY interested now

and just bought it from HP
thanks to all for comments. This came out higher than the Dell in all other reviews I read, so........pretty much the fastest larger-purchase I've made. lol.
will be using it for colour-critical work, so there ya go.
One can never stop saying Thank You
I would also look at getting a colour calibrator too:

If I want a monitor that will not have any issues with fast paced games (ghosting etc) and can also have excellent viewing angles, what is best?
Sorry for the highjack
I would recommend ocuk or scan, always had great service from both of them.
Format, if you want a 24" monitor then the NEC 24WGMX3 (here) or if you want something smaller then the new Dell 2209WA looks really good.
Sweet! any idea how long this is for?
I would rather order them after the end of the month once I'm into my new place.
