If they don't have SLI connectors they might be enabled by software like if you CrossFired 5670s you just enable Crossfire through the Catalyst control centre so it should be the same with the 9500GTs.

The computers around 30 months old so its not a new buy, only noticed the problem with the GPUs as was trying the FFXIV benchmark and noticed it was really slow.

Cool , the card was never high or even mid range, guess were just a little concerned that your mate has been conned into thinking its a gaming card.

Although why the hell anyone would buy a PC with 2 SLI 9500's over say a 9600 or a 9800 is beyond me, for the price / performance there is just no logical reason.

I remember seeing a Dell desktop that was offered with 8200 or 8300 (I forget which, may even have been 7300) quad-SLI as the top-notch graphics option.

I think I saw something like that in the World of PCs, dual 8600s or something, in a large case with a window and a hefty price tag.
