Here is an in depth review of the EW2420:

The BL2400PT using the same VA panel is also available at a similar price, but it has a much sturdier stand and can be tilted through 90 degrees. Sadly, it has speakers built in, but you don't have to use them.
I suppose it looks a bit more functional, but the stand should work a lot better.
I spotted the BL2400PT as well, I definately prefer the look of it over the VW2420H, plus all the extra funcationality is an obvious bonus.
What about if comparing the VW2420 vs. EW2420 vs. BL2400PT?
Which one would you guys prefer then? I would say the EW2420!
But what's wrong with the VW2420 it has such a sleek and nice design!

I would check the monitor section of the OcUK forums as a few people have bought the monitors themselves:

Got it so the only complaints I've gained out of reading that thread is that people are generally very satisfied with the new VA tech panel. It seems that the VW series didn't get a good review due to its shape and the fact that it has an external battery pack... but for the most part it seems like the users who have purchased the new VA paneled units like what they're getting. For users who weren't as keen on the response time says its splendid, even for those who did game said ghosting wasn't constant and some users say it's quite mild.. I guess it depends on each person's usage...:
"Next I tested ghosting/trailing in game the games I tested today were.
Metro 2033
Splinter cell conviction
Crysis warhead
Resident evil 5
Alien Vs Predator
Killing floor
Need for speed shift
I can honestly say it is not a problem in any of the games I tested, yes it's present in a minor form but unless you are specifically looking for it then it is something that is not going to affect you in your everyday gaming sessions. Even using splinter cell convictions sonic goggles which show white, grey and black I did not notice and trailing which would inadvertently affect your gaming.
Onto the picture quality using the same games mentioned above
One word can describe my experience very well and thats WOW I have never seen any of my games look so good the colour reproduction, transition and a feel of depth to the scenes were immense at some parts, Crysis warheads greenery looked vivid and lively, right down to metro 2033's dark damp tunnels and stinking sewers . I think the reason things look so good is down to the semi gloss coating of the screen itself. I really cannot explain any more how good the quality is from this monitor especially in it's price band. "
I think the EW2420 and the BL2400PT should be great from what it sounds... I can't wait to experience games like SC2 on such a monitor or watch movies thanks to it's 3000:1 cs ratio, PVA panel, and 8 bit color. I can't wait to get my hands on one, unfortunately at the moment getting a new cellphone for my other half + my self (after some time) will enable me to NOT buy a new monitor for some time
Anyone on Hexus bought the monitor yet? Care to share your thoughts and experience, especially if you tried SC2 on it

I don't know how much you've read on the new BenQs with *VA panels, but you might want to be a little cautious if you're considering buying one.
I've done a lot of reading on them from different sites and forums in different countries and languages, I'd say roughly 70-80% of feedback of people who own one and have commented on them have had problems with them and have sent them back for replacements. The problems include backlight bleeding, dark smears across the screen, LEDs being very visible along the bottom of the screen causing rippling effect as well as people saying the audio HDMI on the EW2420 model is poor and completely devoid of bass. You can see the smears and rippling in this image.
The few people who have manage to get a problem free BenQ unit have said it is very good however, but if you do get one, be prepared to potentially send it back until you can get a decent one. The quality control at BenQ just seems very poor.
I'm not exactly sure what the deal is, but I've had my fair share of failures with electronics... and I never blame the company for it... out of everyone I know, I myself, have had the worst luck with getting defected units. Seriously... only with electronics, thank god. If everything I bought (clothing, furniture, etc) all were defected... I would want to kill myself... that's why I spend a lot of time reading and eyeing things before taking the plunge, because as much as I hate returning a unit because it is defected... It's got to the point where I expect myself to get a defected unit, so when I don't it's all good But that's just me! With my horrible luck
Thankfully that seems to only be with electronics and hasn't passed onto my poker luck
