I'm gonna run the tests in a minute and get back with the results.

    UPDATE:
It's passed the 3D test completely.

I noticed that even though I've set up the load to be "100" catalyst shows only 50% usage during the 3D test.

    anyway no problems here
Thanks alot mate for your time!
I have been testing this card all weekend and found to have mixed resualts working then not working.
Did find after fresh insall of Win 7 64Bit with just hardware drivers and no updates on that all games worked ok but still now and then got the Driver not reponding error in windows.

After i installed windows updates i had big problems again and found that update KB976902 would make my PC crash and also stop the Graphics card from working even when trying to boot from cold.
Would get a BSOD when booting from cold then after a restart it would boot into windows.

I have had enough of this and think that it has to be an intermitant fault so going to RMA the card off on monday and see what they say.

    Cheers mate

Received my new replacement 6950 last week and have not had any problems at all.
Had to send a chase on the 28th day asking for an update but they then got back to me within 3 hours advising they had sent me a replacement and it was with me the next day.

    Happy days!
Thanks for all your help and time all. Game on!

Re: New HIS 6950, Driver Problem??? Display Driver Stopped Responding?

Sorry to thread hijack a little, I bought a Radeon 5850 last July and Im having issues with HIS/OcUK. OcUK referred me to HIS and HIS referred me back to OcUK. Now on my third 'webnote' which is now a complaint and awaiting a reply.

My question is did you deal with OcUK for the RMA or HIS directly?

I delt with both but HIS were not really any help and in the end after telling them what testing i had done they told me to contact OC. Which i did and after i explained what testing i had done to show that the card was fault they asked me to RMA the card back to them.

After 28days of them having my faulty card i sent them a chase email and they sent me out a new replacement that day. I received my new working card the next day.

    Good luck mate

Excellent, thanks for replying. I have no problem dealing with manufacturers directly but HIS dont have a UK/European office and I'd hate to think how much postage it would cost to send the card to Taiwan. Hopefully OcUk will get there finger out, using a 7950GT at the minute and its painful. A pal has a 9800GT I'm going to borrow for a while, still not a patch on the 5850 though :/

Re: New HIS 6950, Driver Problem??? Display Driver Stopped Responding?

Just had an email from OcUK and my graphics card has 'passed' all there tests....grrr

Now I have to pay a 'testing' free and you can pretty much guarantee it will start playing up within an hour or two of hardcore gaming. Ive asked them to test it for a long period of time and if it starts acting up within hours of my receipt of it back, I would like the 'testing' fee refunding.

This is starting to leave a sour taste, should have spent the extra and got it from Scan
