Which silent/quiet GPU for £200 please?

What's the best silent/quiet GPU for £200 please?

I was looking at the MSI ATI Radeon HD 6950 Twin FrozR II 2048MB but I value your opinions, thanks.

It will be displayed on my Dell U2711 27" monitor which has a 2550x1440 resolution!

    Good choice for the budget.

I had a quick search for passive/very quiet cards that you could run in crossfire/SLI, as the performance could be higher with correct case airflow, but didn't have much luck. 2x460 or 2x6850 would get you there, but they're a touch over budget.

Why not just spend the £200 on water cooling your rig??

'cause it's not always quiet! I admit I love overclocking but my priority is leaning more towards a silent/quiet new PC build this time.

I've got a Corsair H50 water cooler now in my rig now and it's NOT that quiet.

My new rig will have the Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator CPU Cooler which is suppose to be quite quiet.

Re: Which silent/quiet GPU for £200 please?

A custom water cooling rig including cooling your 5850 would be as quiet as you like and be more efficient than the pre-built wc rigs. £200 would mean possibly sourcing the pump and blocks second hand and maybe rad.

Buy a generic VGA block and then it will cost you nothing to upgrade your w/c to a new graphics card.
