    Price Check: EVGA GTX580!

    Hi folks,

No longer game due to time constraints, so whats the value on this fella, can't remember if its the standard version or the SC version.

    Anyway, comes complete and boxed.

    Idea on price?

    Thanks.

I wouldnt say its close to 250. If i could get a 580 for £260 and some offered me one second hand for £250 id go for brand new, it would have to be quite a bit cheaper then when new to tempt people.

I'm guessing he meant he got it second hand (but with warranty assistance provided by previous owner). They're not available new for £260.

The decision I'd make if I was in the line for a top end graphics card is whether going second hand would enable me to step up a model. The cheapest 570 is around £240 new. If I didn't have to pay any more to get an excellent condition 580 then it would become a consideration. So £250 seems like a reasonable upper band for an initial pricing. Drop to £230 and it would be a tempting proposition for those otherwise thinking of getting a 570.
