All in Wonder as a Secondary Card

    OK Guys.

Currently running 2 19" Iiyama 450Pros and a PSOne screen as tertiary - and last night my secondary gfx card died mysteriously (while trying to fix a mates 9800 Pro with a BIOS flash - no such luck - later discovered to have a core crushed in the corner). Don't know what happened to it, but my box won't boot with it in.

So today I'm shopping for a new ATi PCI card (primary is a 9700Pro), and I came accross this, which appears to be a bit of a bargain:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=110540

So heres the question: Has anyone else used an All in Wonder card as a secondary adaptor? Does the TV software work OK in this configuration?

    Thanks in advance!

Tbh I have no idea how that would work as a secondary - try rage3d forums as they are usually the best place to ask about AiW stuff.
For that price though it does seem a bit of a bargain, I'd give it a bash, if it didn't work out as hoped you could probably get your money back selling it on forums or the bay of fleas, so nothing lost

Did some searching there and found nothing. The only place that seems to talk about multi-monitor are the ultra mon forums that I found last night.

For anyone interested, the answers no - it won't work at all it seems. Ended up getting a PCI 9200SE this morning from VictimWorld (40 quid, but it didn't involve waiting...)

One is a old 7000 (i think) and a new one which has got 9600 core but the screens seem to have problems holding the same res also a bit of flashing they seem to go out of sync, are you have any problems like this thanks.

    Have to say - nope

Seriously - had a few problems with the ATi drivers at first - they refused to recognize whatever card was secondary at boot up. Then it sorted itself - don't know why, but suddenly they worked fine and all the ATi tabs appeared in advanced display properties... I did try an old banshee and Millenium II - both of which had to be set as primary in BIOS 0 - which I didn't like. I did also try a Geforce 2MX200 - but that wouldn't work at all with my 9700Pro - apparently ATi and Nvidia cards in the same system at the same time with recent drivers is a complete no-no.

Basically if you want no hassle - get two recent cards (8500+ or GF4+)

One point to notice, windows believes that my primary is my right most monitor - this is essential if you want to play games at resolutions other than your primaries desktop rez - and you don't want windows and icons jumping about between them.

Ultramon is also very, very useful as well

Just thought - I haven't actually tried 4 monitors - so I just popped upstairs grabbed an old 14" and have plugged it in - hang on.

Woot - works fine Might keep it there now!
