    512MB Sapphire HD 6450

passive, does every audio format inc true hd and master audio.

small, silent and perfect for a HTPC

best thing is its £25 (last year when i got one for the HTPC)

    I would check post 14.

If you want a gaming card by summer both AMD and Nvidia would have released their new ranges too.

    Excellent review of card.

They recommend the GT430 as a good card. Is there an update version to this card or it is the latest?

The HD6570 seems to get the nod in the review if you don't want to muck around with settings. OTH,I the GT430 does seem a cheaper card:

Re: HTPC - Need Graphics card that supports DTS HD / True HD MA

First and foremost, I would like to say this forum is one of the best to get help and advise on . The people are very friendly and I would like to thank you all for your help and advise in this thread.

I've just tried a Gainward GT430 card borrowed from a mate in my HTPC, was very impressed with the results.

So.... having said that, there are so many GT430 out there made by difference manufacture, which one would be the best one to go for?

    how does the GT440 compare?

    Gigabyte GT 440 OC 1GB DDR3

    Cheers

That GT440 seem expensive for what it is. For almost the same you can get this.

EVGA is a good company for Nvidia cards - the cards I linked to in my previous post are EVGA cards.

    3. Gigabyte
    4. Msi
    5. NIS
    6. Innovision

YoYotech, never brought from them before, how good are they compare to ebuyer and scan

    Cheers

EVGA,Gigabyte and MSI are meant to have better warranties than the others.

YoYotech have a shop off Tottenham Court Road in London. I know them from that. Ebuyer and Scan are probably bigger.

XFX have a mixed reaction - it depend what retailer you buy their products from and their PSUs are really decent.

I would say MSI and Gigabyte.

KFA2 and PNY are meant to be good for Nvidia cards.

XFX,Gigabyte and PNY have a UK based RMA location. EVGA RMA is based in Germany but is meant to be very good.
