    You might as well wait until it doesn't cope with the games you want to play, then you'll be able to get a better card for your money

    Yep.

    I went from a HD 3870 to a HD 7950 i was blown away, and i could now play the games i wanted to.

    I have a 6970 is it worth upgrading right now to the 7970 ghz edition or waiting for the new 8 series

    As long as you can play your favorite games at your favorite resolution & graphical settings at a decent framerate, there is no need to upgrade.

    I would say the powersupply is more than fine even If you get an other 6870 for crossfire. A heavily overclocked 965 + 6870 uses just under 300W in your average game.

    People seem to go overboard on the PSU wattage rather than quality and efficiency.
