    dvi-d connectors are digital-only dvi, i.e. dvi.

dvi-i connectors have both dvi-d and analog in the same connector, i.e. you can stick a vga adapter on one (graphics cards have dvi-i connectors)

the iiyama comes with a vga connector and cable, and a dvi-d connector, so you can plug in one one machine via vga, and (if you get a dvi cable) one machine via dvi.

I've had a Hyundai Q17 for about 6 months. It's well-built, offers analogue or DVI (comes with cable), has an integral 2-port USB hub, and the response rate is fab!

One thing to check for is the colour depth, some TFTs use 6-bit gamma (which produces banding) to improve the response time. 8-bit is par for the course, but that alone won't guarantee you quality. One way to tell is if they talk about 16.2 million colours not 16.7 (24-bit colour). The Illyama sounds the best at first glance because it has 24-bit colour and 16ms response time.

While the 25ms seems slow the 700:1 and 300 figures are attracting me

Depends if you find 25ms destracting or gives you motion sickness.
I don't mind it, it reminds me of the motion blur you get when you rotate your head in real life.

I have this monitor, never see any ghosting in games, DVD's etc. IMO it looks great as well although it's not the black with silver bits that you wanted, more like silver with black bits.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

I wouldn't bother with the F-419, purely on the basis that its 19" but only does a max res of 1280x1024.....if you want 19", then you should be looking at 1600x1200.
