what an appropriate nick you have.

the best solution is to unistall all ATI drivers.then use driver cleaner.then a fresh install.I had a similar problem when upgrading from 9800 pro to x800 pro, had to freshly install the drivers as I was getting about 9.5k 3DMARK03.
after that it shot up to 12.5k or so.

Driver Cleaner is your friend use that and make sure you have up to date chipset drivers and your speeds should be fine. Good luck

Reasonable advice for sure, but Driver Cleaner is not always a fix-all, although it is a good program. I once used it and tried many other things to fix a similar issue, to no avail. I'm not saying the problem can't be fixed without a reinstall, but I think you would need to ask someone with very advanced technical knowledge of Windows if you have tried 'everything'.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

you are right. nasty file remover is much better at removing all traces of any driver be it chipset or gfx.
tbh the person posting for help doesnt really deserve any mopre advice, as he cant even be assed to reply if he has done anything recommended.
