OK....someone sold me a 128Mb Asus 6800 today very cheap, after running some simple benchies on it (like 3DMark2001) I was content that it wasn't a borked card for such a low price.
Anyway, in one of my PCs, I had a LeadTek 256Mb FX5900 Ultra in there with the latest WHQL nVidia drivers on there.
I installed the 6800 in that system, reinstalled drivers using the ones that came with the CD, ran 3DMark2005 and got.........973!!!!! Whereas the FX5900 Ultra got in the 1200s!!!
OK, I thought it might be the drivers, so reintalled the latest WHQL drivers again, and then got......756!!!! OMG!!!!
What the hell is wrong with this card?!?
Please don't tell me that because of the extra ram, the FX5900 Ultra outperforms the 6800!!!!
(I did uninstall drivers each time before installing new drivers).
I know this isn't such a great card (like against a GT) but I'd expected it to outperform a FX5900 Ultra!!!![]()

nevermind me
the only other thing i can think of is quite drastic really, install a new copy of windows and see if that makes it run better.
