    Lightbulb 9250 Overclocking...Softmod?

I am thinking of getting a OcUK ATI Radeon 9250 256MB DDR TV-Out/DVI for my P4 2GHz machine, now this is mainly just so that i can use it for vga/dvi output into my 30inch LCD. Now what i wanna know is is it possible to softmod this card? overwise i shall just use ATi tool.
    cheers

It's not possible to softmod a 9250, there are no disabled pipes in it. Check that it's actually possible to OC the card before you buy, some lower end ATI cards have overclocking disabled in their bios.

You could see if Retek have any refurbished 9500s if you want a card with the potential to softmod. It'll be a faster card either way.

nah...as it has to be this card as it has to be PCI... unless A) they make a 9500PCI or B) you know of any better PCI cards...

Ah. No, AFAIK there aren't any better PCI cards, although I think you can get a PCI FX5200 which will give you DX9 support. Not that it'll help much.

Powerstrip should allow you to OC the card, I even used it to OC an ancient 2MB Matrox Millenium from 60 to 70MHz.
