eh? All the best advice in the worldand.... Hope the x700 was nice and cheap. As much as I love ati the 6600GT beats everything in that price range.

Whats the good of having 15fps gameplay on 1280x1024 at 4xAA and 4xAF even if 9800 might sqeeze an extra 4 fps? I'd stick with 6600GT all da way... U might even decide to stick in another 6600GT on SLI when ur wallet fills up in the future.

God Bless NVidia and gone were the days of crappy FX 5600 ULTRA

Totally agreed.. 6600GT has the best performance to price ratio on mid-range current generation graphic cards (my opinion). Hope you got a good deal on the X700 my friend.

Long live O' Mighty NVIDIA.. (5600U still sucked)

You know what your right! Now if I could just figure out a way to install another AGP Slot on my motherboard and create the drivers & technology to support it on the AGP platform I will be good to go!

I only have AGP it will be awhile for I upgrade to something else, I am getting pissed off at my X700 already though, it is having major problems playing KOTOR I....damint if I can't play it I will get the 6600 GT AGP. I am having

probably just some minor driver support issue... as much as I support nvidia 6 series, X700 is a decent card and shouldnt cripple on KOTOR I even at 1280x1024.

Yea I know it was running fine up until I got to Dantoonie and started running around in the field killing those kath hounds. Its terrible even if I put all the graphics to the lowest quality I get like 2 fps I swear.

I am going to try to uninstall it then install it again

yea, maybe you should try that. But again, could always be a driver bug in older games when you stick a new card to run them. Probably pop into ati's website to see what they say. I had the exact same problem on S-Sam 2nd Ecnter on 6800GT on the cathedral maps... literally 5fps.

it's a problem with the game, it happens with the sequel as well. install the 1.03 patch. there is a fix for it, just google for it.

Fock! it happens in the sequel as well? Hopefully they will have it fixed by the time I purchase the game. I usually wait until the game gets down to 20 dollars. Anyway I sort of fixed the problem with the game.....I put my Radeon 9200 back in my system and it is all good. The X700 PRO does run HL2 silky smooth though with everything maxed out except the resolution.
