OCers say that ATI are responsible for the high price but have had a re-think, so maybe the prices will come down all around...

Info Update:
Hexus Hierarchy has now been seeded with an X800 (vanilla) card and will be testing the nuts off it as soon as they have a spare slot in their ultra busy schedule (tea to be drunk, men's mags to be read, cats to be walked etc)
I know that it is a pain when you are trying to make a purchase and you know that stock levels and new products are getting in the way
However, the 'January sales' effect will ware off soon - so you will start to see more cards in the stores...
...and the last of the new batch of products will be put under the harsh light of Ryszard's Test-o-Scope
With all of the products and test data in - you should feel a lot more comfortable making your decision
Oh yeah...
...PLUS we will have the first Catalyst WHQL driver of 2005 out for you by then which will give you (a) more performance, (b) less issues and (c) added features
