Dell 2005FPW - withSony Vaio notebook

I've just bought a DELL 2005FPW to go with the following rig I'm having built:

    1 x Pyro64X (Pyro64X)
    Wave Master (silver)
    AMD Athlon 64 FX-55
    Standard Fan
    Gigabyte K8NXP-SLI Socket 939 PCI-Express
    Radeon X850 XT Platinum PCI-E 256mb
    1GB Corsair TwinX PC3200
    Caviar SE 200GB S-ATA 150
    16x DVD-Rom drive
Optical drive 2: DVD+/-RW dual layer
    Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

However, until that arrives - next week - I've linked my DELL to my Sony Vaio PCG K215B to see what windows xp looks like running at 1680 x 1050.
I've set up multiple monitors but it's showing under display properties that the maximum res is 1280 x 1024. There is no option to change it to 1680 x 1050. Is this possible or is it down to the graphics card - ati radeon IGP 345.

I've got the DELL as the primary display. Any ideas?

maybe you'll get a driver when it arrives...? I know the resolution seemed to get better when I changed my monitor to a bigger/better one

Yeah, Ive installed the DELL driver, but I can't seem to find an updated driver (sep 03) for the Radeon IGP 345. I take it that's not a very good card anyway as it's not intending for gaming, but I hoped it would support 1680 x 1050 as the notebooks only three months old. I won't need to run it when I get my new rig, but I imagine I can run xp at 1680 x 1050 with that...
