FX5600XT or ATI 9550??

Which is preferred/slightly better?

Sapphire 9550 128MB DVI
OR

PNY GeForce FX5600XT 128MB DVI


Both are same price, need to get for my sis. She dont play games or OC.
Just need it for Dual monitor setup.

If you get the 9550 then you can Soft mod it to 9700 standards, and it will kick the FX5600's ass anyday.

!!Do not get the fx5600xt!! I have that card in ,y other pc, you will be dissapointed if you get it. The 9550 will beat it hands down even without the soft mod. Be wary of the fx, very wary

The 9550 is based on the 9600 (R350/360) core, dont think this can be modded to 9700 (unlike the 9500 R300 cores).
