    9800GT no temperature display

My Asus 6800GT doesn't show any temperature readings at all. Not in the driver, nor in Speedfan nor in Rivatuner.
I've tried different drivers but still no temperature display.
Speedfan startup log shows that it can find the card and see the Nvidia SMBus but doesn't display any temperature readout.
Can anyone suggest why this might be?

I was using 71.24 but I've stripped that out completely using Driver Cleaner Pro and gone back to 66.93. Still the same. I don't think it's a driver issue as Riva Tuner and Speedfan should be picking it up too and they don't.
I was wondering if it might be something to do with the bios, or possibly a faulty card?

sorry, old thread but you have to install asus enhanced driver then install smart doctor, but you should download the drivers from the asus download place, cause if you use any up to date drivers, it will cause problems
