    Bit like 128k and 8086 was enough all those years ago ay Come year or two time we'll be sitting there thinkng how did people manage with single 6800's

    It remains to be be seen whether ATIs implementation can actually handle different GPU speeds. Don't count your chickens.

    I don't think nvidia's SLi will work to well with different cards as one of the schemes is alternate frame rendering which requires matched GPUs to perform well.

    SO, what we need in our dream system is dual the best opterons (nforce4 jobby) two of thouse 4 GPU jobbys, a stick of uranium, all setup in the arctick, oh and forget, copper, aluminium etc, its gold all the way, actually plainum, mmmmmmmm this sounds good, hang on 2 dualcore opterons, not long to wait now!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Gold is a superb conductor of electricity, but thermally it's barely better than Alu and certainly much worse than copper or silver.
