I can recall thinking Larrabee was going to shake up the market, so I dont hold up much hope for this.
yes I here stuff about this looks to be turning into an "Larrabee II", I am hoping that there is an 3rd contender.
Intel will do ok initially in low end mainstream market or task specific workloads. I think it will take some time before they can take on AMD and Nvidia on the high end.
