    Multimedia Team at ATi

    Guys,

Rys and I have a chance to spend some time firing questions to these guys - what would you like us to ask them.

Make sure they aren't nitty gritty questions, make them broad and interesting

    Thanks Guys!

To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

Question 1: Will they make 3 screen gaming a reality soon? I want one card, and 3 outputs to 3 monitors...all digital. Dont mid having a dongle with three splitters on it. Happy to do thatm understand there is a lack of room on a cards connector for 6 outputs...3 digi and 3 analogue.

Front view, lieft view, right view. And Iwhen I pan around, I want all 3 to pan around.

Question 2: Have they thought of making downloadable mini games....to get more people visiting their site

Will they ever give us the options to control sharpness, noise reduction, and all the other goodies the 550Pro tuner cards are capable of that they promised us when the card was introduced? (heh.. they can't even get MCE certs with the card and drivers yet)

    1) When will the Multimedia Team at ATi move away from the antiquated Theater 200 chip on the current crop of AIW cards?

    2) Will the Theater 550 Pro ever replace the Theater 200 on the AIW line or does ATI have a different chip in mind (successor to the T550P)?

    3) When will there be an AIW card that implements PCIe and a reasonably fast graphics chip (AIW X600XT just doesn’t cut it)?

    4) Is there a current projection for how long ATI intends to continue making AGP based AIW cards or will ATI keep making both AGP and PCIe indefinitely?

    5) Are there plans for a dual tuner AIW card?

    6) Are there plans for a HDTV AIW card?

    7) When will ATI stop making AIW cards that lack hardware encoding?

    8) Are there any plans to release monthly drivers for Theater 550 Pro and HDTV Wonder cards (like Catalyst drivers) ?

    9) Are there any plans to add updates to MMC that will allow support for USB and FireWire video inputs or any other such innovations?

    10) Are there plans to release AIW cards faster then the current lethargic rate?
