    XFX 6200 Driver Issues!

    A mate of mine got a passively cooled XFX 6200 to tide him over untill he does a bigger system upgreade. However there seems to be an issue witht he drivers for the card, and the way windows sees it.

    Fistly, in Dev. Manager it comes up as a VGA devise rather than a display adaptor.

    Secondly as a tie in, when downloading the Nvida drivers from there website they wont isntall as they cant find the hardware! To get it to work the older drivers that came on the XFX CD have to be used, any atempet to upgrade, after unistalling the supplied drivers reults in the same No hardware found message?

    Any idears?

    Try flashing the card's BIOS to a more generic (nvidia) version (of the bios not the card).

    I think you need the beta drivers to get certain 6200s working nicely at the moment.

    http://download.guru3d.com/detonator/ - Have a look here.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    How about manually installing the drivers by unzipping the nvidia .exe and using device manager to update the driver, and use the wizard to point it to the .INF file in the unzipped location?
