    2005fpw scrolling lines?

    Hey guys,

    I got my 2005fpw Monday and I have noticed these faint vertical lines going down on the left side of my monitor. It isn't happening on the right side. I am hooked up through a DVI cable to a 6800 Ultra. I tried hooking a VGA cable from my monitor to a laptop and I didn't see any lines when I had it hooked up to the laptop with VGA. I am guessing something is wrong with the DVI. Any ideas?

    Thank you,

    Justin

    I read somewhere that if you change the frequency from 119 MHz to 146 MHz it will make the lines go away. My option in the drivers was set on CVT-Reduced Blanking at 119 MHz so I changed it to CVT standard at 146 MHz and the lines went away. What is Reduced Blanking and am I loosing performance doing this?

    Code:
    <----- 165 Mhz   -->|   Blanking        |
    <----- 1600x1200 -->|   Blanking        |

    <----- 195 Mhz   -->|   Blanking        |
    <----- 1900x1200 -->|   Blanking        |

    <----- 165 Mhz   ------>|reduce Blanking|
    <----- 1900x1200 ------>|reduce Blanking|
    Result - more data throughput at 1900x1200 using the same 1600x1200 clock rate.

    Im not sure what you mean. What is blanking? Am I taking a performance hit? I just got my replacement today and it has the same problem. Tested on 2 different computers.
