I am after a 17'' TFT monitor. Because of price restrictions i have narrowed it down to:
AG NEOVO F417
LG 1715S
Any advice about the above would be great, or any other recommendations. I will be using it for gaming and ordinary pc work. Thanks

how much are you looking to spend?
a good budget tft is the relisys TL795-RU thats about £160 not the best looking though. but it does have a dvi connection, speakers, and good response time for gaming.
if you looking to splash out then the viewsonic VX724 is the best 17 tft for quality and performance.
£170 max
I was going to buy the Neovo M17 from ebuyer on special (free delivery). Looked this morning and they'd sold out
12ms, usb, dvi
Edit: price was £146
The F417 looks great and has a stack of positive reviews.
we should have the F-417 back in stock soon... but I've no date just yet (before I'm asked ) - i'll give an update as soon as i've got one.
Hey mort-uk, thanks for giving us that info. I know others have it in stock but Scan have been great to buy from.
I bought the LG1715S about a year ago now and have loved it ever since Its a truly fantastic TFT. It will play games great, with no motion ghosting, and it goes without saying that for general office work, word processing etc, its crystal clear.
Only downside is the lack of DVI, but the analogue connection does me and my 6800GT graphics have always looked just fine
My father-in-law has the LG 1715s monitor and it is superb. Looks great too. Just that i do like the look of the AG Neovo F417 TFT. It has very good reviews too. Also, it is a nice colour!!
If you could squeeze just a little more (10-20quid) I would recomend the E431S.
I know lots of people with the Illyama LCDs and all have had nothing but a pleasurable experience with them

It is a minefield choosing an TFT! So many different ones with different Pros and Cons!!
Any other ones i should check out?
Have you considered the AG Neovo M17?Originally Posted by Koolpc

I have seen the M17 but i do like the F417. I just need to buy a TFT for a good price but with a superb picture.
Ebuyer have the F417 in stock now at £146.87 and that includes free delivery!!!!!!!
TFT monitors - it is all depending what you would like to do with (or get out of) your monitor
F-417 is a good entry level model. What does this mean?
It has only got an Analogue connector. (NO DVI) It has no built-in speakers.
It uses a 12ms panel.
