    Dell 2005FPW on a 9800 Pro?

I'm considering a TFT montior, and have been drooling over the Dell 2005FPW. My question is will a 9800 Pro drive it well at maximum resolutions. It's pretty much going to be used for office work, but I do like the odd bash on HL2 deathmatch and UT2004. I've also been liiking at the cheaper Samsung 930BF http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=311134&cks=SPK. Is that a better option?

If you find a game doesn't run smoothly at (or won't support) 1680x1050 you can turn the resolution down and set a menu option on the 2005FPW so that it won't scale the image to fit the screen and will draw it 1:1 with what it is being fed.

So if you run 1024x768 it will appear as a box in the middle with unused pxels around all 4 sides.

    Widescreen rocks!

Yea that's a good point; you can stretch it or scale it 1:1.... I happen to have a 9800 Pro and an 2005FPW and I find it works well with every game I have played so far, except for F.E.A.R. But it can handle UT2004 and HL2 great at highest detail.

Thanks guys, although since going to the bank and discovering I'd miscalculated when my my x20 was paid for means I'll not be looking at a new monitor any time soon
