Just bought one from OCUK, shame that somwhere like Scan doesn't stock them but I understand why.

Once I've got it and unlocked it etc. I'll report back

The first rule of overclocking and moding is that there are no guarantees.

However, this is the closest thing that comes to a guarantee in this arena that I have seen.

I have never heard of someone being unable to unlock the full set of 16 pipes on the Sapphire X800GTO2. Furthermore, I have never heard of someone being unable to OC to at least X850XT speed (520/540). I say this to be conservative because my recollection is only of 540/590 and sometimes higher.

The only problems that I have ever heard with respect to the X800GTO2 is that of users not knowing how to perform the mod,……that is all,…

If you can find someone who has had problems other then user error or an outright defective card,….I’d like to hear it.

Doh!, just realised the XL has the 16 pipelines so the XL would be quicker, be interesting to know by how much though ?.

yeah i bet its probably less than 10 frames a second in real world stuff id like to see a side by side at stock in Doom 3 and HL 2 though, cause the GTO2 should leave the XL standing after an overclock

Just ordered my GTO2 from Overclockers *evil laugh*...

Not that I'll be able to use just yet, hopefully the box is pretty. Need to wait for Scan to have a today only on Gigabyte motherboards now.

Haha, I see you have one too - how're you finding it (and how easy is it to flash the BIOS)?

Google is your friend for finding stuff on the internet. £12 cheaper than no service OCUK.

S'only about £4 cheaper than what most people paid (week only offer) but I'm not sure how things work out when you take delivery into consideration (I know it's £8 next day from OCUK).

My GTO2 just arrived from OCUK, ordered it yesterday lunch time.

Came in a Logitech Quickcam box which is a bit Pikey (with the full Sapphire package inside)

Could have cried though when it became obvious that it does not come with the 'Sapphire Select' CD, just some lame voucher for 10 hours free Guild Wars (happy to post to anyone if they want it)

Will install it this evening. Start off at stock and take some 3DMark scores and FPS from Battelfield 2 with FRAPS.

Then unlock and re-test, then finally try to overclock it.

Not overclocked anything since my Celeron 300A

    I wonder,….

If the X800GTO2 becomes really scarce, maybe I can sell my modified card at an insane price on e-bay

In that case maybe I should buy another X800GTO2
