yeah i agree with the rest, I personally not exp'd any ghosting, I am running a 9600pro atm and play a bit of CS every so often, also ran the mon on my m8s 7800gt...

24" + high res + super smooth fps = bliss!!! need for speed most wanted was stunning

I sit also 1/2m away from it, you shouldn't have any problems getting used to the screen and its size, just takes a little time. I am sure if you got one you wont be disapointed. tbh anything over 24" I think is just getting silly unless your viewing distance is increased but I am still tempted to get that 3007fpw

in general all I hear are good things about this mon, has all the connections one would want, high res, looks slick. Me being a bad influence on my friends, after seeing mine 2 of my m8s got one too.

lucky my desk is quite deep otherwise i probably be sitting too close as well hehe

    Hmmmmm, similar musings!!!

Firstly, hi all...first post on Hexus though I've been a long-time reader

Argh, another punter agonising over the 2405!

I'm in a very similar boat, and this is the first place where I've read someone hitting on my main concern! Is it just too d@mn big to get comfy with?!?

I've just ordered my spangly new PC and want to get a suitably great monitor for it. For price>performance the 2405 is certainly a serious contender for the top, but I keep having horrible flashbacks to my old Eizo 21" CRT that used to give me crippling headaches after about 2 solid hours in front of an FPS...but then I used to sit WAY too close. But sitting further away I just don't feel as involved....

I really want the 1920x1200 res to take advantage of my new box, but I just wish it came in a 20.1" package....they shoehorn WUXGA into 17" laptops, so why the hell can't someone do it for a desktop panel that isn't the size of a double decker bus?! I'd love something that crisp on a smaller screen.

The more I think about this the more I'm starting to think that the humble 2005 might be for me. Or that new Gateway 21" if it ever appears this side of the pond) But then again under £600 for the 2405 is sooooooooooo tempting?!?

    Appreciate any thoughts/help folks!

I guess you need to either figure out exactly what was triggering your headaches and make sure the Dell isn't going to do the same or demo one for a while to see if it gives you a headache.

I am a serious headache sufferer and honestly can say that I don't think my 2405 has caused me one yet

I still keep thinking "Damn, thats BIG!" though and I've had a few comments from freinds that I can't post here
