    no display from new mobo rig.

    hey i just bought a Asus P4V800D-X, and now i recieve no display but everything pwoers up.... have no idea what it could be, atomic fuse if your here is there anythign differnt between a AGP8x mobo ad this PCI-e with AGP mobo?

    yo! i set mine up yestruday, with a new mobo, new case, new psu etc....you do have a gfx card installed right? because that mobo has no video display! so you need any cheap agp or pci-e graphics card to get a picture!

    Check to see if the graphics card is seated fully (If Installed!)

    k pushed and still no display :S i wish there was soemthign to check each inidividual compoenent to see whats the problem :S and the motherboard green light is on.... any other ideas?

    Thats weird! The only other option is to try another graphics card.....then if that doesnt work. you know the mobo is dead
    its likely to be something else though as me, you and my mate both got the same mobo and installed it yesturday for some weird coincidental reason !

    hmmm i just tried my p4c800-e mobo with my gfx and its not working... must be the GFX, any quick fix ideas? i was only using it yesterday night!

    Try giving the fan a quick turn by hand. Could be jammed and some obscure protection circuit prevents the card from working with no fan?

    the funny thing is the fan moves :S so that cant be it... inside it looks like its working, i connected evrythign again twice on the mobo and put evrythign on the p4c800-e mobo but to no avail

    well then it really has to be the gfx card, maybe it has some compatiablility issue with the mobo, there is an update for it which i downloaded....try another gfx card seriously heh!

    it cantbe compatibily, it dotn work with my p4c board damn another 30 quid then i can get my x1800 :@ i wanted ot sell my 9800 pro as well....

    i feel so stupid i left the bloody CPU out of the p4c mobo when i booted!! lol the gfx works, but do you think the p4v board is broken? what you suggest i should do?

    lol so you fitted the HSF on an empty ZIIF socket :S :S :S if thats right, then fit the CPU and boot him up
