    Question V700Cu-Led & 7900GT/X1800XT

Hi guys, I'm going to be buying a 7900GT or X1800XT in the next two months, and having read this forums frequently I've got the feeling they are a bit loud
As such I've got a Zalman V700Cu lying about, I was wondering if anyone else on here had stuck one on either card, and if it runs too hot or not.
Also it might be useful if anyone with a V900 could tell me how hot it runs on their card, as if it's hot with a V900, it'll be scorching with a V700.
The compatibility list here says it supports both, but better safe than sorry, and I value your input more than zalmans !
    Thanks for your time,
    Karl

Don't believe that, the two don't go together unless you live in the artic.

My PCs very quiet, just has 2 nexus 120mm case fans and a very slow silentx fan in the psu. Even with this well known setup to pcsilencers its audiable.

I use a thermaltake schooner on my 9800Pro, don't know what the temps are like in comparison to the cards you mention but if they're similar it should work fine. Even gets me a better overclock than my old arctic cooler!

@BenW: why don't silence and performance go together except with one brand then? If you have good airflow then its perfectly possible. Zalman coolers are very good at keeping things both quiet and cool. The 7700Cu on my proc gives me very good temps, sometimes even better than the extreme air cooling simply because I have a good airflow setup compared to lots of other people.
I reject your reality and subsitute my own.
