    Dell 2007 WFP

Been looking at one of these for a while and noticed that the crazy people at Dell are now selling them for £285! (Cheaper than my current monitor was) I really like the look of the monitor and the upgrade to widescreen would be nice (or so I hear) but am still a little bit worried about the banding issue, which I believe has cleared up?

So does anyone know if the banding issues are gone and would it be worth picking up the 2007WFP at this steal of a price?

From what I have heard they have been cleared up or there is a workaround in the OSD (Pick Desktop Mode)

    Revision A00 is bugged
    Revision A01 requires the workaround
Revision A02 is meant to be clear

But some people are still reporting problems with the 2007WFP even with A02

Up to you but for the price it is I would recommend it

Yes, and yes. I have an A02 and its fine. Probably not the best 20" WS you can buy - that honour probably goes to the NEC LCD20WGX, provided you can live with its glossy screen and don't mind paying £130 more.

I think the Dell will do me just fine, I'm just looking for a little upgrade to the world of widescreen and considering the crazy price on the Dell and the fact I can probably still get £200+ back on this monitor I think it seems a good option

Just a little bump. Seems I've got a buyer for my old monitor @ £220 so if the price of the Dell stays for a little I'll definately be having £70 monitor upgrade

Does anyone know what Dell're like regarding dead pixels and general monitor faults? I've been lucky enough never to have one on all the LCDs I've owned so far (2 monitors and a HDTV) and I'm picky enough that I probably couldn't live with one.
