    It is effectively doing SLI though.....the card has a PCI-E chip on it that splits the PCI-E bus and effectively makes its own SLI system on the card, so games that don't work well with SLI (for example World of Warcraft) will not work well with this card.

    I have spoken to a few people with this card and none of them can come near my X1900XTX framerates in WoW.

    Of course, games that love SLI will run great on this card, its a matter of "horses for courses".

    OK Thanks for that info. Shows that it is important to know what your games you are going to play before purchasing a card.
    Nothing against x1900xtx but I personally would probably still go for the 7950gx2.

    So the 7950GX2 acts as a single card - you don't have to turn SLI on and off?

    Does that mean the two monitors connected to it both run all the time (you don't lose one when you "enable" SLI)?
