    made no difference to me.
    Unfortunately, I didnt measure voltaages before the flash, so I dont know about that.

    THE main benefit is that you dont have to use the softmod every time a new driver revision comes out.

    also you can sell it on ebay as a pro

    but a voltmod might....... (as well as the softtmod/hardmod)
    Increasiing the voltage to the core can get rid of the artifacting(chessboard effect)

    My hercules all in wonder 9800se soft modded fine. Very nice indeed.

    However, the TV input didn't work to begin with (something to do with DX9, i'll explain if anyone has the same problem). And the remote didn't work either, resulting in me having to edit the registry to make it work.

    Yeah, its a well documented 'feature' of DX9b that breaks certain tv tuners.

    What was the problem with the remote and what was the reg fix?
    I had problems too, but getting the latest drivers (2.1) sorted that

    Ah basically it installed the software to c:\program files\ati multimedia\x10blabla.dll, but the registry had c:\progra~1\atimulti~1\x10blabla.dll. You just have to edit the registry to say the right thing.
