    AMD 64 3400+ bottleneck?

    Hi,

I'm just about to upgrade my graphics card from a 6600GT to a X1950 Pro but am abit concerned that my AMD 64 3400 + would bottleneck it. I'm basically looking to play games at 1280 x 1024 and it's really only Total War 2 that's making me want to upgrade.

    Any thoughts?

I'm not sure if you'll be bottle necking the card, but you'll definitely see and improvement.

    cheers,

I'm just wondering cos if it's gonna bottleneck it, would I be best to just go for a x1650 pro or even x1600 pro.

I'm really just looking to tie myself over until a big upgrade in the summer (DX10 card, new processort etc)

    Exactly.

That's what I did with my 3000+ and it made a huge difference.

    Don't think it will bottleneck.
