crashing computer at abit screen

only started today, i have abit fatality an8 sli with a x2 4400, bfg7800gtx, and it seems to stop, freeze at the opening screen . i dunno why, tryed leaving it off etc, for bout n hour ??x

does the mobo have the POST display to give error codes like other abit mobos, if so what is the code

yep it does, just below the sata ports near the FP headers. That code will give a very good idea why it isnt progressing, watch it as u boot and them post here what the code reads when the system hangs

gah i did everything got anooyed and cmos about seven times, nothing. then mum walked into the house and its working!!

mm after that escapade is there a program that u can get that scans your computer and tells you if there any hardware, software anomalies??

I normaly use a post on the Abit USA forums to identify the codes but they have fubared their site so will have to wait, check the back of ur manual, they are sometimes there
