Gigabyte GA-M61VME-S2 SATA Issue

Hi there I picked up one of these for my mates PC but we are having trouble getting windows installed on it. We have the HDD connected to a SATA post but its not recognised. According to the manual it should show IDE Channel 2 & 3 for sata ports but these arent shown. We have enabled NV SATA in the integrated peripherals menu but its like the sata ports arent there. Any help appreciated

you probadly need to install the sata drivers, when you start installing windows it says press f6 to install third party drivers i believe

But they arent even mentioned at bios level
