Hi All,
Does anyone know how to get the WRT54G working in the Windows Vista Network Map? At the moment, it is not included and is just seen as an unrecognised device. I have the version 7 revision of the router. Any advice appreciated.
Richard.

I don't have Vista, and don't know what the 'Network Map' is, but I do have a WRT54G. A quick guess would be to enable uPNP on the router. I can imagine that whatever discovery protocol MS are using is dependent on this in some way.

From working with Vista, it uses a discovery protocol called LLTD to find all network devices on a network. But the WRT54G doesn't seem to be placed on the network map correctly. UPnP is enabled on the router but is probably just a compatibility issue within Vista, as it treats the router as a gateway on the network map rather than giving it the description of WRT54G.
