    Video card problem..

Well, I just downloaded the beta for LOTRonline, started it up and as soon as I got to the character selection screen my GPU fan gets really loud and a few seconds later my computer crashes. I can play Half-Life2 CS:S and World Of Warcraft no problems.

Im using a Radeon x700pro, with ATI Tool for the fan at 89%speed and its at 40 degrees C

My comp temp is reading at 42 degrees. And this is without any games up.

I've been playing gameso n this computer for over 2 years. Everything is stock and worked fine until now. I got a new 400watt power supply a few months ago after the other one died, but besides that nothing i updated.

It seems to have good air flow. I always keep my case open to cool it more.

Any ideas whats wrong? or need other other info..let me know..ill try to help..lol

What are the exact requirements for LOTR online? I wouldn't be too surprised if it just needs something that your card can't do. It's not as simple as CSS or WoW.

Have you tried the latest ATI drivers for your card?
Do you get any error messages? Is it the full system that crashes/restarts - or is it just the LOTR application that crashes?
