    Dead CPU or motherboard

    My new setup won't boot up now, it was working fine for about 2 hours, then just froze up and it won't even turn on the monitor anymore. The fans are running.
    The PC continually bleeps for about 2 seconds and then pauses.

    System consists of
    Motherboard = Foxconn N570SM2AA
    Processor = AMD 6000+
    PSU = Enermax 500w
    Memory = Exlir PC5300
    CPU cooler = Noctua NH-U9F

    I haven't got another MB or processor to try, maybe somebody could give me some idea how to rectify this

    I've got a PSU somewhere. I'll give it a go.
    It's just one single beep about 2 seconds long.

    It was one stick of memory, at least it's the cheapest thing that could go wrong.
    It's only a couple of months old and has hardly been used since I got it, maybe I should contact Scan for a replacement.

    Unless you have been pushing the memory over its given spec's then RMA it.
    Might want to do a memtest86+ on the other stick to make sure.
