    SATA or GSATA

I am just putting together a system based on the Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 and it seems that I have a choice of using ICH9R controller based SATA connectors or Gigabyte supplied GSATA connectors. From the specs, as far as I can see, they seem to support exactly the same functions (RAID levels, transfer rates, etc) Can anyone help me decide which I should chose and the pros and cons?

One other thing: I could choose to power the board using a standard 12v P4 connector, or an 8-pin dual 12v EPS connector. I will be installing a E6700 CPU. Any reason to use the EPS over the standard P4?

    Thanks in advance.

Gigabyte's controller is in fact the JMicron - I'm not sure why they keep calling it Gigabyte.

& the Intel RAID is superior.
