    Exclamation New computer build help!!!!!

    Im going to build a computer using the following components;

    Asus P5k-e wifi-ap
    Antec neo he 430w
    2gb platinum OCZ rev 2
    320Gb Hitachi deskstar
    Antec nine hundered
    Microsoft Vista Home Premium OEM
    Keyboard and Mouse (cheap)
    Arctic Cooler Freezer 7
    Arctic Silver Paste 7
    Nvidia BFG 8800GTS 320mb
    DRW lightscribe dvd-rom burner
    DVD-ROM
    Intel E6420
    Floppy disk

I was trying to limit myself to £750 but i can't think of any way to save more money, I need a motherboard with a wifi ap because i have a wireless router, and i want the 8800gts for good gaming. If anyone has any ideas on how to save me money or what product i should change for bettter performance please let me know.

Get an ASRock 945G ConRoe-DVI motherboard instead, and buy a wireless PCI card for 10-15 quid.

    (Or another budget motherboard).

You don't need silver paste with that cooler (comes with its own).

You don't need that cooler with the CPU (comes with its own).

You don't need OCZ platinum memory.

The core2duo runs so cool you can still overclock loads on the stock cooler - it's not the crappy one you used to get on pentium 4s

But if you're seriously overclocking then you'll need a premium motherboard and a better PSU as well.

Floppy disk dont need these days
Change the case, of all the components this is the one to change.

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=352344

XClio £24.66 big 250mm side fan 2 120mm 1 front 1 rear. Decent space in side, front is a bit awkward to take off but the cooling is good. That would save £40

Apart from what has already been suggested that really is it.

bin the floppy, do you need a dvd rom AND a writer? ballistix 5400 ddr2, will clock better than ur OCZ anyway, buy the cheapest 8800gts u can find, there is as much as 80 quid difference, and ull be able to clock a no-name as much as any other....
