    Possible virus, trojan?

Don't know what this is and I've never seen it before but..

I went to upload a file at Filefront and it finished uploading, then gave me the option to register
thing is, the registration fields were already filled in with someone elses (valid) details.

Stupid me didn't think of maknig a note of the name or email address but I remember it having "Skull" in there somewhere.

I mistakingly clicked register with those details and it let me, so couldn't have been a suggested username, password from Filefront themselves.

They probably served you up the details on accident, doubt it was client side.

I'd actually say something like that would be more likely client side than server-side. A bug like that is near impossible to do, it'd have to be purposely coded in if it was server-side.

Did you maybe install some auto-fill software that provides dummy details by default?

    Craig.

The gamestation website quite often throws up other peoples details when sending orders through.
They've been told so many times about it, its shocking.

It could just be a stray cookie or the server getting session ID's mixed up due to a bug / brainfart /whatever, certainly no where near 'impossible'.

True, it could be bad cookie coding. I'm really surprised a bug like that doesn't get fixed instantly!

    Re: Possible virus, trojan?

Screwed up session management. Like others have said, almost certainly server side. Any idea what the server side stuff is coded in or the version even?

Incidentally, thinking of Highlander, do you reckon the mods would let me execute those members who are entitled to an avatar but don't have one & in so doing absorb their post counts into mine? Just an idea.

Why's that weird - looks like he was asking for a torrent or torrent location to be mailed to him?

I just like using the word weird - wasn't really trying to relate it to the situation
