I've got the 1.01 BIOS on this laptop and there is a 1.30 version out. Normally I'd bung the BIOS files onto a floppy disk and do this that way. But this laptop doesn't have a floppy disk drive. So I notice that the BIOS can be updated in Windows if I run fla****.exe. What that does is load a dos prompt window and tells me that DMPI or something has been detected which, apparently, makes it impossible to upgrade the BIOS in Windows.
So I thought perhaps I'd try altering the boot device sequence and put the files onto a USB flash drive. Hmm BIOS won't see USB flash drive.
So how can I flash the new BIOS? This is the version with the ATI graphics chip and card reader.
